  • ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386 does not work with HTTP preseed?

    Installation media: ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso I tried a lot of different boot parameters, but either the installer ignored the preseed configuration, or it boot itself directly as LiveCD. An example of the boot parameters I've tried: auto url=http://mydomain.com/path/preseed.cfg boot=casper only-ubiquity initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- If I remove only-ubiquity, it boots as a LiveCD. If I remove boot=casper, it won't boot. If I add vga=normal locale=en_US console-setup/layoutcode=us console-setup/ask_detect=false interface=auto, it still can't do automatic install. If I remove auto, it's the same. What is the correct boot parameters for launching such an installation? From the apache log of the server hosting preseed.cfg, I see that the installer has no problems fetching the preseed file. My preseed file is almost identical to the one at https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/installation-guide/example-preseed.txt. Moreover, I have run debconf-set-selections -c preseed.cfg to ensure that the preseed file is correct.

    For the past month or so I been busting my behind trying to learn directx. So I been mixing back back and fourth from directx 9 to directx 10. One of the major changes I've seen in the two is how to process vectors in the graphics card. one of the drastic changes I notice is how you get the gpu to recognize your structs. In directx 9 you define the Flexible Vertex Formats your typical set up would be like this... #define CUSTOMFVF (D3DFVF_XYZRHW | D3DFVF_DIFFUSE) in directx 10 I believe the equivalent is the input vertex description D3D10_INPUT_ELEMENT_DESC layout[] = { {"POSITION",0,DXGI_FORMAT_R32G32B32_FLOAT, 0 , 0, D3D10_INPUT_PER_VERTEX_DATA, 0}, {"COLOR",0,DXGI_FORMAT_R32G32B32A32_FLOAT, 0 , 12, D3D10_INPUT_PER_VERTEX_DATA, 0} }; I notice in directx 10. it is more descriptive. besides this, what are some of the drastic changes made. and is the hlsl syntax the same for both.

  • How to setup custom DNS with Azure Websites Preview?

    I created a new Azure Website, using Umbraco as the CMS. I got a page up and going, and I already have a .co.nz domain with www.domains4less.com. There's a whole lot of stuff on the internet about pointing URLs to Azure, but that seems to be more of a redirection service than anything (i.e. my URLs still use azurewebsites.net once I land on my site). Has anybody had any luck getting it to go? And got following code sample (i.e FrontPage RPC (Remote Procedure Calls)) I am not getting use of "put document: 12.0.0.4518" and "string serviceName = "http://servername/sitename/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.dll";". I have worked on code but it is showing " Response time Out" error. But since i can't understand the code.It is not possible for me to solve this or any future problem.

I want a new query that will join this together and read: Day New_Users Retained_Users 01-Jan-12 45 33 02-Jan-12 36 30 Do I use some sort of outer join?

  • Specifying a Single Request To Use Credentials with HttpClient

    I am using OAuth2 on my android project. The idea is to use a singleton HttpClient used with a ThreadSafeClientConnManager. For a normal request to the server we construct an Authorization header and send that. The header is constructed from values received from the server. This works fine. However every 15 minutes we must get new values from the server to construct the header. To Received these values I must set the credentials like so. client.getCredentialsProvider().setCredentials( new AuthScope(AuthScope.ANY_HOST, AuthScope.ANY_PORT), new UsernamePasswordCredentials(creds.clientId, creds.clientSecret)); In order for this to work I must set up and new DefaultHttpClient. If I use the original singleton httpclient I receive some errors. My question is.. is it possible to set the credentials to be used only on this one request? I noticed that there is an AuthScope. The host and port would not be suitable for this but maybe the realm would? If I use the normal default httpclient like so DefaultHttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); Then it works fine. Any ideas?

  • Firefox (on windows) constantly consuming 10% CPU - is there an add-in to find the rogue tab?

    I often have many Firefox windows open, each with many tabs. Now and then one of the tabs will be running a web page that for some reason consumes lots of resources. Right now, I have a tab somewhere that is constantly consuming 10% of the CPU...which would be fine as my computer can easily handle that (see specs below...all other apps are responsive), but it seems to slow Firefox down....everything, everywhere is extremely laggy in Firefox, I can see pauses while I type this. Is there: - a way I can isolate separate instances (or even tabs) in FF into a separate process, so one rogue tab doesn't bog down FF across the entire system? - maybe an add-in that can either identify tabs consuming lots of CPU, or maybe a way to "shut down" activity on tabs you haven't used in a while? The client gets an IP (10.8.0.6) from the server OpenVPN client is started as an administrator. But: I cannot ping the other one on either side. 'Gateway' value is empty on client's side (in the adapter's "status" window). Client has got no internet access when the link is up. Ideal configuration: I only want the client to be able to use the server's Internet access and access its resources (MySQL server in particular). I do not need or want the server to access the client's local network. The client needs to be able to access it's local network, although all Internet traffic should be redirected to the VPN link. Was thinking I could use the ceiling function if I modify the integer as a decimal...? then use ceiling function, and put back to decimal?
